The Abolishment of the Board of Real Property Assessments and Appeals

The Board of Real Property Assessments and Appeals will be replaced by the Real Property Tax Appeals Commission

On Friday, July 13, 2012, the Board of Real Property Assessments and Appeals is scheduled to be abolished pursuant to a provision in the “Real Property Tax Appeals commission Establishment Act of 2010”and also pursuant to the “Real Property Tax Appeals Commission Establishment Act of 2012”. 

The Board of Real Property Assessments and Appeals (BRPAA) will be replaced by the Real Property Tax Appeals Commission (RPTAC).  The newly created Real Property Tax Appeals Commission is scheduled to begin its operations at 9:00 a.m., on Monday, July 16, 2012.

After the transition you will see the new changes to the website with important information about the new laws pertaining to the Real Property Tax Appeals Commission as well as the names and bios of the newly appointed Commissioners.

Our offices will be closed on Friday, July 13, 2012, in order to facilitate the smooth transition from BRPAA to RPTAC.
